Eclipse Season: What Is Ready to Change?

There are seasons when life seems to quietly ask you:
Are you sure you want to keep doing it this way?

This eclipse season feels a little like that.

The August 12 eclipse today opens a two-week passage leading us toward the second eclipse on August 27. And rather than trying to predict exactly what will happen, perhaps the more useful question is:

What in your life is still alive—and what has quietly run its course?

Because sometimes we don’t realize how much we’ve outgrown until we try to keep carrying it.

An old identity.

A relationship dynamic.

A job.

A dream you once loved.

Someone else’s idea of who you’re supposed to be.

And sometimes the hardest part isn’t letting go.

It’s admitting that you’re ready to.

🔥 The invitation of August 12

This first eclipse carries the energy of new beginnings and new seeds.
But before you plant, you’re being asked to get honest.
What do you actually want now?
Not what you should want.
Not what made sense five years ago.
Not what keeps everyone else happy.
What makes you feel more alive?
What brings you joy? What sparks your creativity? What makes your heart quietly say, YES… this.
Those are the places worth paying attention to.

🌟 Between the eclipses

Think of these two weeks as a clearing.
Notice what feels heavy, draining, or finished.
And notice what brings energy, love, curiosity, and a little more light into your life.
You don’t have to blow everything up.
You don’t have to have a five-year plan.
You may simply need to tell yourself the truth.

This isn’t working anymore.
I’ve changed.
I’m ready for something different.

And then, slowly, begin making room.
Because the new doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes it starts as a tiny spark.
A desire you’ve been ignoring.
An idea that won’t leave you alone.
A feeling that whispers, there’s more for me than this.

❤️ A little eclipse practice today, Aug. 12: 9 am - 1 pm MT

Find a recent photo of you. Set it next to a candle on your altar.
When the eclipse starts, find a quiet moment and imagine that old version of you is dying.

Ask yourself:
What am I ready to release?
What am I ready to reclaim?
What wants to come alive through me now?

Don’t force the answers.
Listen.
And then create a new altar with the new you that is emerging.

And perhaps the real invitation of this eclipse season:
Not to become someone new.
But to stop abandoning the person you’re becoming.

🌑 August 12 — Plant the seed.
🔥 August 12–27 — Clear what no longer fits.
🌕 August 27 — Make space for becoming more of the REAL you

Sending lots of sparkly blessings on this potent day!
