I am back in Boulder after a lovely week in Florida visiting my dad and brother: sunshine, beach, water, slow moving, connection, and rest…ahhh 😊
It was a MUCH-needed break, and my body has REALLY informed me about this.
Often, my lower back aches. If I roll around on the floor, massaging my lower back, I am very happy. But sometimes I feel like I can do that for hours, but the ache won’t let up. It gets worse when there’s a lot on my plate.
Before going to Florida, my plate had been stacked high.
I thought I had been good with my self-care: hikes in nature, good sleep, eating well, healings, time with friends, and daily 20-30 mins. of stillness practices.
However, it wasn’t enough. My body taught me something during my time in Florida…. It needed three days straight of slow motion, including 2 to 3 hours of stillness.
On day four, I realized for the first time in a long time, my lower back didn’t ache. I was beyond delighted.
I thought I was doing well, but my body showed me I need A LOT more balance between my masculine (doing) and feminine (being).
I share this because embodiment is part of sacred feminine reclamation, whether you are a woman or a man.
It’s about feeling, listening, and following what the body needs and wants.
We have all been programmed to numb, suppress, ignore, and override the body’s wisdom. Yet the body knows. It never lies, and whatever has been suppressed will eventually emerge, usually coming sideways.
There is a book called “The Body Keeps Score”, which is all about this.
As the feminine energies continue to rise on Earth, the more you can honor your body’s guidance and become embodied, the more you are going to flourish.
If you need support with this, consider joining us for the Mother’s Day Womb Cacao Ceremony this Sunday in Denver, or to go even deeper, the Divine Feminine Reclamation Mentorship.
Here’s to less doing and more being 💗.
