Are you guilty of numbing out or bypassing your feelings through food, alcohol, drugs, scrolling, Netflix, shopping, etc.?
You aren’t alone, most do this…
Men are taught at a young age to pull up their bootstraps and show no emotions.
Women are accused of being crazy or bitchy if they are ‘too emotional’.
However, as this great awakening continues, there is a powerful paradigm shift happening. The divine feminine is emerging once again to come into balance with the divine masculine.
An aspect of the divine feminine reclamation (this goes for men just as much for women) is feeling all the feels, feeling your emotions, and honoring them.
Easier said than done.
Our feelings guide us. They are like our intuition. They tell us what needs tending to, what needs support, care, love, a healthy boundary, etc.
Ladies, this is a biggie! (good for men to know and support the expression of the ladies in your lives): if you suffer from menstrual pain, it’s a sign that your feelings aren’t being fully acknowledged.
All the emotions that you ignore, numb out, don’t feel during the month, you can’t avoid during your period. This is because you are most sensitive to emotional energy then. The numbed-out feelings show up as menstrual pains and PMS, emotional bouts.
Here’s an invitation to start connecting to your feelings and watch how the PMS and pain begin to dissipate.
If there has been trauma, this could be tricky to do alone. If you need support, it’s an area we work with in my Divine Feminine Reclamation Mentorship Program. Feel free to set up a Discovery Call if you’d like to learn more.
As for the men, give yourself permission to feel your feelings on another level, baby steps.
Feel the fear and honor your feelings. Let them guide you in what your spirit is needing and wanting.
