Calling All Matriarchs. To the menopausal and post-menopausal women — yes, you!

Menopause is something most women know is coming, yet for many, it still arrives as a shock.

Hot flushes. Night sweats. Brain fog. Anxiety. Exhaustion.

These symptoms are so common that we’ve almost come to expect them as simply what happens to women.

But what if we looked at menopause differently?

What if you’re not failing at menopause — what if our modern culture has failed to teach women how to truly work with this transition?

For generations, women have been taught to burn the candle at both ends. To push, produce, achieve, and keep going. We’ve been encouraged to live primarily through what I call our masculine energy — action, productivity, doing and achieving — while rest, pleasure, joy, connection, and stillness are often treated as bonuses we can enjoy once everything else is done.

And sometimes, we’re even made to feel lazy for resting.

But menopause can be a powerful invitation to change that.

I invite you to consider menopause as an initiation — a threshold into a new chapter of your life.

Rather than seeing your body’s messages as something to fight against, what if you listened to them?

What if the symptoms are inviting you to slow down, reassess, release what no longer serves you, and come into deeper alignment with yourself?

This is where the Matriarch can begin to emerge.

In Chinese medicine, the post-menopausal years are sometimes referred to as the Second Spring — a beautiful image that reframes this stage not as a decline, but as a transition into a new season of life, one marked by wisdom, confidence, and renewed purpose.

Once we stop bleeding, the creative energy that once moved through our bodies each month — with the potential to create new life — can be redirected.

What might you create now?

What wisdom wants to move through you?

What becomes possible when your energy is no longer focused on the cycles of creating a child, but on creating, nurturing, and contributing in entirely new ways?

This is part of stepping into your role as the Matriarch.

You carry 50+ years of experience, lessons, stories, intuition, resilience, and wisdom.

And the world needs that wisdom.

You might be raising an eyebrow right now because mainstream culture doesn’t always tell this story.

Too often, women are given the message that menopause means becoming less desirable, less vibrant, less relevant — as though losing our cycle means losing our worth.

No.

What if we stopped measuring a woman’s value through the lens of youth?

What if we celebrated the full feminine journey?

Part of the imbalance I see is the overwhelming cultural focus on the Maiden — the idea that women should somehow remain young, youthful, and desirable forever.

But the feminine is cyclical.

And those cycles extend far beyond the menstrual cycle. They can be seen as a journey through the stages of life: Maiden, Mother, Matriarch — each holding its own gifts, wisdom, and purpose.

Look at the elephants.

Elephant herds are matriarchal, and the oldest females often play a vital leadership role. They draw on years of experience to navigate challenges, find resources, protect the herd, and maintain social bonds.

Their age isn’t a liability.

Their age is their wisdom.

Imagine if we began to see our own aging through that lens.

Imagine if, instead of apologizing for becoming older, we celebrated becoming the women who have lived enough life to truly know themselves.

I want to plant a seed:

What if you shifted the belief that you are somehow less worthy without your cycle — and instead celebrated becoming a Matriarch?

I believe Matriarchs have an important role to play in the awakening of the Divine Feminine.

We need your wisdom.

We need your voice.

We need your lived experience.

We need you.

If you feel called to explore this transition more deeply, you’re invited to join the Divine Feminine Reclamation Mentorship.

And if you’d like to test the waters and experience this work for yourself, come join me for a Womb Magic session.

Your Second Spring is not the end of your story.

It may be the beginning of one of your most powerful chapters yet.
