Recently I learned of an uplifting ritual that is very empowering in bringing women together in support, sisterhood, and community. It helps women start getting in touch with our amazing, divine, feminine energy that has been shut down under a patriarchal system for over 5000 years….too long!
We are in a new age where women are slowly beginning to remember and awaken to their creative power. We have very few role models but I was recently turned on to one, Mama Gena. I love what she is sharing and took one of her rituals she uses when opening a class. She calls it the holy trinity but I’m renaming it the Blossoming Ritual. It consists of this:
Brag ~ Gratitude ~ Desire
Each woman is to brag about something amazing she is doing/did, share what she is grateful for and what her desire is.
I did this exercise with my Spirit Reiki 3 students on Saturday and observed how most of us squirmed a bit when we had to brag about ourselves. We’ve been taught under the patriarchal system that that isn’t lady-like, not ok for a woman to do or that we are being egotistical. It’s time to take that programming and say good-bye to it!
Bubbling Magical Energy!
What actually happens is that it increases a woman’s self-confidence, helps her recognize her value and increases self-worth. Being witnessed, cheered on and supported by other women is key to this ritual, to the transformation that slowly happens within. It was really magical to observe the bubbling, magical energy that was present in the room as we did this on Saturday

Observe yourself and your friend as you begin to see each other blossom.
