In my own Plant Medicine Ceremony a few months ago, a white buffalo appeared in the clouds, a message from the White Buffalo Calf Woman who is the one who brought the sacred pipe to the Native Americans. I was guided to do much prayer work with the pipe that day.
I also received guidance to get a new one as the pipe I had never fully resonated with me.
My old one, I gifted it to my medicine sister, Julie Wood who loves it and I asked Spirit to help the new pipe manifest.
A few came to my awareness. I was gifted one for my birthday, which was lovely, but it still wasn’t right.
I reached out to Rafael Vega, an amazing artist in Taos who does a lot of shamanic creations. He has also participated in my ceremonies, understanding the deep work I’m doing with people and the power of ceremony.
I thought maybe he would know somebody who could make me a pipe. He did indeed, himself!
Sunday was the day. We met up near my house with Taos Mountain overseeing the receiving of the pipe.
It’s absolutely stunning, made from steatite stone, and the stem is wood covered with snakeskin.
After chatting with Rafael and hugging him goodbye, just as I was getting into my car, a hawk flew 6 feet above my head, carrying prey in its talons.
To me, this was another blessing from Spirit of this beautiful pipe to take into ceremony for cleansing and prayer for those I serve and for myself.
I might even bring it to the cacao ceremony happening this weekend in Boulder.
There are just a few spots left so if you’re keen to join us, click the link to register: Sacred Cacao Ceremony.
I’m traveling up to Boulder today, excited to reconnect with my Boulder community through the in-person healing sessions and in ceremony on Sunday.
Infinite Blessings,
Helen
