Is Your Giving Muscle Stronger than Your Receiving Muscle? Time to Bring them into Balance⁣⁣

Giving and receiving is one and the same.

Many of us, especially women, are great givers.

We’ve been trained/programmed since we were little, in the patriarchal system, to give but not to receive. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Many feel selfish, embarrassed, not safe and most commonly, unworthy of receiving. Time to change that!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Giving and receiving is like yin and yang, the feminine and the masculine. We need both and we feel balanced and supported when we do both. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So here’s a simple exercise in helping build the receiving muscle if yours is weak.⁣⁣

Keep a Receiving Journal⁣⁣

It’s a bit like a gratitude journal. Take 5-10 mins at the end of your day and jot down at least 10-20 things that you received that day ie: hugs, water, sunshine on your face, a peaceful walk in nature, a compliment, kisses, yummy food, a gift, an I love you. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As you do this for a week or so, increase your awareness of how good it feels to receive. The more awareness and gratitude you have, the more will come your way.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Full permission to receive abundantly and graciously! Remember, giving and receiving is one and the same.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Many blessings,⁣⁣
⁣⁣
